DESCRIPTION:
Top Best Butyl sealant/tape remains flexible throughout its service life and shows good performance on weather resistance and waterproofing. There is no flow of the sealant under high temperatures and no cracking under low temperatures. For sound deadening and water sealing applications in vehicle construction. There are various formulations with unique properties suitable for specific applications within the vehicle. Available in both drum and roll formats.
APPLICATION:
Used in areas such as sealing the automotive door panel barrier, automotive window, interior and around the sunroof. Making sure all surfaces are clean and dry the butyl tape is applied direct from the reel onto the surface along the whole length to give good adhesion. Then remove the backing paper and apply the other surface to the sealant and co***ct to firm the seal. For on line applications from the drum with the sealant pump, adjusting the pressure of the pump according to the ambient temperature in order to control the sealants diameter. |
